You're seriously slacking momma...no post in nearly a month. What the heck? You're fired! :)
The big news? Yesterday I turned TWO!!! That's right, and I can even tell you that I'm two if you ask nice! I got to march in a parade, see several friends this weekend, and take some extra long naps. I also ate a ton of fish at the community fish fry for Memorial Day. We will have a party when dad gets home from his trip in a few weeks. Yeah!
I got some nice books, clothes, a bubble machine, a jack-in-the-box, a barbie and some money for my birthday, as well as some other toys and fun things. Mom is going to take me to the store to get a water table from grandma and grandpa poppins. That is going to be a blast this summer!!!
Daddy called me from Japan yesterday and he sang happy birthday. It was so fun to hear his voice, and before bedtime I got to see him on Skype. That was nice. I miss him terribly and I get excited every time I see a truck or an airplane. Mom says he will be home soon and I sure hope she is right!
Mom is going to take cupcakes to school tomorrow for my birthday. They have a rule that they have to be store bought, so she can't make them and she is bummed about that. But she says she's going to make a beautiful cake when daddy gets home!!!
We've been doing a lot of fun stuff lately. Mom and I went to Wisconsin for a full week. We got to see my grandparents, great grandparents, aunt and uncle, and lots of other relatives, cousins and friends. It was a great visit and I got cheese curds, orange custard chocolate chip ice cream from babcock hall, and other Wisconsin yumminess.
While we were there I got to take a walk on the union terrace with mom, and all the way along the lakeshore path. We also saw Aunt DeeDee graduate (long story), did some shopping, went to the Farmer's Market, did lots of playing with Grandma's retro toys, and took some good walks and played at the park (slides and swings). We blew through two bottles of bubbles and ate grilled cheese and painted my toe nails, too. It was so fun to see everyone! We also got to go to the Henry Vilas Zoo! I enjoy the animals and seeing my little friends (Audrey, Hope, Dallas and Elijah). Good times!
Pretty soon I will probably move to the next room at school. They usually do it around our birthdays, so I am excited to have a new teacher and new toys. I will miss my current teachers though, they love me so much. Mom says our school is worth every penny and we are thankful for our friends who told us about Goddard. We really love it there! And, I can't wait to see all the art projects we do this summer!!!
Okay everyone, now that I've fired mom, hopefully you will see more blog posts...although we do have a full schedule between work and daycare, taking care of the dog, the fish pond, the gardens and the house.....and squeezing in a ton of fun while summer is here!!!
Better get back to my play time.
Love, Emmy
