Progress and Joy
I'm enjoying my twos. I'm having a blast at Goddard School. Mom is blown away by the things we're learning about and doing...we're learning about all different states this summer and we even had a real cowboy and cowgirl come visit a few weeks ago. Recently we learned about Hollywood and listened to "We're Going to Hollywood" music.
In addition to all the art projects and books we read, we get a lot of playtime inside, and outside. I'm sleeping really good at night because I'm getting so much physical activity -- and no TV at school!
Mom bought me some pull-ups and we're working on potty training. I'm doing really good and of course it helps that all the kids in my class are also working on potty training, too. Mom gives me lots of high-fives and hugs when I use the big girl potty. She's a nut.
Daddy has been traveling most of the summer, but he's due home tonight. I can't wait. Mom even said he would pick me up from school! I love him so much and this is going to be the best day!

Things I say, Foods I like
Some things I say lately:
Lately when mom goes to wake me in the morning, I say "Go away, mommy." I like to sleep in. It makes her laugh and she lets me have a few extra minutes to think about getting up with a smile.
Hip, Hip Hoo-ray!
Sydney? Jeremiah? Desmond? (asking for my friends)
Thankya Mommy. Thankya Daddy.
Where'd daddy go? (Or Jimmy, DeeDee, Bampa, etc.)
Dooor-ah! (aka Dora the Explorer)
Some things I like to eat:
Iiiiiice Creme
Eggies! (scrambled or omelet)
Apples, applesauce
'Cado (avocado)
Nuts (any kind)
Melon
Tortillas
Cheese (and lots of it)
Milk
Chicken nuggets
Frozen peas
Salad
Pasta (especially with butter and parmesan)

Friends FoReVeR!!Zero-Six Bravo and Boom-Boom
Last Thursday our family (minus Greta) boarded a tiny plane and headed to Escanaba. We flew a Cessna 172-RG and she was a beauty. We affectionately call her the Zero-Six Bravo because that's the tail end of her call letters (O6B).
I enjoyed loading up my luggage in the trunk, checking out the controls, and having the whole backseat to myself. Daddy even packed a spare headset for me and I did great. My ears bothered me a little bit on the initial descent into Escanaba, but on the way home it was no problem.
In Michigan we stayed at Grandpa's new cabin. He is making it really nice so that mommy and I will want to come back and visit. I got to sleep in a cot, play with a toy kitchen that my great-great grandpa made for my great grandma when she was a little girl (very cool) and see some relatives. We went on a boat ride at the Pictured Rocks, got to take some naps in the sun and ride the ATVs (don't worry, daddy put a helmet on me). We even went to the boom-booms on the 4th of July (fireworks). I didn't really like the noise until mommy and daddy made a bunch of ruckus and we all started shouting "BOOM-BOOM!!" after each one. That was fun. Mostly, I enjoyed watching them look like fools. That's priceless from my vantage point. Maybe I should write a book "How to make big people act like little people." :)
I especially enjoyed time with Uncle Jimmy and Bampa (Grandpa). I even took a nap in Bampa's arms on the boat ride. They're pretty nice people and I wish they could come to Ohio and visit us soon.
Mom and I got some cool moccasins on the trip (Minnetonka's) and I also got a red "Yooper" shirt that matches one dad got, too. It was fun to get some little souvenirs from the trip.
Now it's back to reality. Sleeping in a crib again, working on potty training some more, going to school to see all my friends, and unfortunately, saying goodbye to daddy. He left on another trip this morning. However, I'm so thankful for the time that we do have together. It's really special. I'm lucky to have a great daddy who loves me and mommy (and Greta) so very much.
Mommy has the photo card at another computer, so I'll upload some pictures later. Enjoy the day, it's a perfect one here.
(PS, I caused a stir at the breakfast table today. I told mommy she was a bad girl. That did not go over so well!)
