Table for Two, Time for Imaginative Play

This weekend mom and I had a playgroup at our house. We had sugar cookies with Halloween sprinkles, as well as fresh fruit. The moms had spiced apple cider and the kids had juice boxes. All in all, it was a good time.

The rest of the weekend was just me and Mom. Dad and Gigi were turkey hunting with Gampa and Uncle JimJim at the cabin. Mom and I had fun playing without them. We read a lot of books, took a stroller walk, took long naps and did a lot of imaginative play. I put extra chairs at my table and pretended to play/color/read with some of the kids from my class. Mom thinks it is pretty neat that I have pretend play time, it makes her think I really love my school and my little friends!

It is getting cold outside, definitely jacket weather. We'll have to take some pictures soon to show you the beautiful leaves in our backyard. Pretty soon it will be trick-or-treat time!

Dunk It!

I love to dip and dunk things. Lately that is my favorite way to eat things....fresh veggies and dip, fries or grilled cheese in ketchup, pasta shapes in marinara sauce, nuggets in honey, you name it. If you have any favorite dippable foods, let my mommy know because we're always looking for new ideas.

Last week I got my flu mist. I was very brave and took my stuffed dog with me. I even got a sucker when I was all done!

Mom and I did a toddler yoga video last night. I'm doing a lot of yoga poses in school, so she thought I would like to do it at home, too. We set up our yoga mats in the basement yoga studio and did all kinds of fun poses. I'm still a little young to pay attention for the whole video, but it's really fun. The teacher shows footage of a lot of different animals in nature, and then we do little poses like the lion, snake, butterfly, tree, mountain and down dog. It's pretty fun, especially when mommy lets me have the purple yoga mat.

Recently I have been asking for Greta to sleep in my room with me. Mom thinks it's adorable, but daddy is jealous. :) We moved Greta's pillow into my room so she sleeps near my crib. She is my favorite dog -- I am sometimes scared of other dogs.

Let's see, what else is new? I got to go to a hayride and hoedown last weekend. The tractor ride was SO exciting! I got a little tiny pumpkin and then I got to jam with some of my friends from Goddard School at the hoedown. We ran into two other families that we knew, so that was fun! I really like clapping and shaking my tooshie!

That's about it.......mommy is not doing so good at posting pictures........I'll see if I can work on her. For now, back to playtime!
