A post from momma C
When Emily was sick over Christmas break, she kept saying, "Mommy, my eye is broken.....mommy my ear is broken."
It was so precious (and somewhat hilarious!) and I love that she is getting old enough to tell us what was hurting. She also told us her tummy hurt about an hour before she threw up. So amazing to pause and think how far she has come since birth, when her cry was her only communication tool.
On the subject of the broken eye -- she often points at my left eye and tells me it is broken. I look in the mirror and do not know what she is seeing -- other than crow's feet! Ha!

In other news, we recently purchased a Learning Tower for Emily. Em's friend Audrey got one for Christmas and we decided to get one, too. It's basically a wooden structure that she can stand in when she wants to be at the counter in the kitchen. It allows her to be mommy's helper (or daddy's helper!) when cooking, baking, coloring, or even eating at the counter. She loves it so much that she doesn't even want to sit at the table with us -- she wants to stand at the counter...too funny.
Fun times!
